JESUS' PRAYER FOR US
Before we believed in Jesus, before we even knew who he was, Jesus
prayed for us.
Jesus prayed in the garden, prior to his arrest and crucifixion.
First, he prayed for himself, that God would complete the work of
salvation he began in sending Jesus to live and die. He prayed for
his disciples, that God would keep them faithful, that they might
have God's joy within them, and that God would protect them from
the evil one.
And then he prayed for us. For you and me and for all who would
come to believe in him after his death, that we would be unified
and that God's love would be in us.
When we read Jesus' words in this passage, remember that he prayed
them for all of us. We can insert our own names and picture
ourselves as the subject of his prayer. We can see in his prayers
the events of our lives. Jesus also prayed for those we love who
have yet to come to know him as Savior and Lord. He loves them
even more than we do - so much that he prayed for them before he
died on the cross on their behalf.
Jesus prayed for you. Nearly two thousand years ago, in a garden
in Israel, you were on his mind. Don't you feel loved??

GOD'S VIEW OF YOU...
There is only one true mirror of who we are. Only one source can accurately reflect our image back to us. If you want to know who you are, you must look to the One who knows you better than all others.
What can you discover? Truths like this:
* God made you in a marvelous way! "For you created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that well" (Psalm 139:13-14). From the toes to your nose, you are the handiwork of God.
* God loved you enough to die for you even when you didn't deserve it. "While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). Yes, you see the sin. Yes, it does look ugly. But God covers it all with forgiveness.
* God makes you new and clean, no matter what might have happened in the past. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" (2 Corinthians 5:17). Mistakes? Yes, we've ALL made them. Our brows are furrowed. At times our eyes look weary. But God dresses us in a brand new outfit-one of hope.
When you're wondering just who you are, don't look to the people around you. The only true reflection of your identity comes from God himself.

Teena's
Testimonial - May 8, 2002
Before I got saved, my life was a mess. I never knew there was a feeling of being completely happy. I was so full of hate and bitterness. I remember feeling like I needed a man in my life at all times to fulfill that empty heart of mine. You know, as long as you have that happiness that you think that's going to last forever. I remember coming across Christians (born again).. They would witness to me and I would think they were just crazy fanatics of Jesus. I had a complete mind set of being unhappy and lost in my filth of sin. But, when something bad happened in my life I would cry out to God. I thought that this is the way life was supposed to be. Do and Live what ever way you want to and when you need God, You just call on him and everything works out.. WRONG!
I would always think to myself, How boring it must be to be a Christian. No way I'll never change my exciting but hurting heart.
Just like John said. We were so close to a divorce. Let me tell you once I stepped into church with an open heart, I gave my life to Jesus Christ (April 22, 2001). All that hurt and empty feeling was taken from me. God is the only one that could do that. I realized that day, everyone that doesn't have a relationship with our Lord and Savior has a heart that is not filled. And I mean living according to the Bible. I'm not saying that we are perfect. But if you accept Jesus into your heart and have a personal relationship with him, as soon as you fall he's right there to pick you back up. God is awesome. I can't imagine of going back to my old life which was hell. What we do now, is reach out to people and let them know that there is a God that loves them and he's knocking on your hearts door but.... Will you let him in?
I can't imagine why people will not give their lives to Jesus, when he gave his life for us. All the prophecies are being fulfilled and when God comes back a lot of people will be left behind if they don't repent and serve God. That is scary to me and I wonder if any of you feel the same way.
We are not promised tomorrow.. Is your heart right? When God judges you and asks you what you did to share his word what would you say? Will he say enter my faithful servant or depart from me you worker of iniquity?
You can say a simple prayer and mean it with all your heart and God will do the rest..
Sinners Prayer:
Dear Jesus, I am empty when I look inside myself, I see the soiled places that I now know are sin. Because of that sin I know I cannot have a relationship with you. I need your help. I believe that you died on the cross for me and for my sins. Please forgive me for my sins. I want to trust you as my Savior and I want to know you as my lord. Please come into my life and begin a relationship with me. Amen.
God Bless,

Seventy-one percent of Americans believe in an afterlife.
And yet, when asked, most reply that they know very little about
what life will be like. What do you know about heaven?
Very little. That's what most of us know about heaven.
Maybe we don't long for heaven right now. Our wealthy
standard of living offers us delicacies and delights in the
present. Maybe we don't relate to
the old images of heaven. Pearly gates. Streets of
gold. Angels gathering around God's throne. Hmmmmm.
But when we or someone near to us faces
death, heaven becomes critical. Then every detail revealed
in Scripture regarding heaven becomes precious: That God will
complete the good work he began in us (Philippians 1:6).
That we will enter into the presence of God (1 John 3:2).
That we will feel pain no more (Revelation 21:4).
As long as we live in a world untouched
by death, heaven can wait. But when we're awakened to the
reality of mortality, it becomes very important to answer the
question, "What is heaven like?"
We thank you and we look forward to your replies, criticisms, or
questions.
God
Bless You
John
